Katie Kenney

Kenney played lacrosse at Fairport High School, graduated in 2003, then went on to play at Lock Haven University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Education, graduating in 2007.  While at Lock Haven Kenney was named as a 1st team All-American for defense in 2006 & 2007, made two NCAA Final Four Tournament appearances in 2005 & 2007, and named to the NCAA All-Tournament team in 2007. In 2006, Kenney led the Bald Eagles with 35 groundballs. In 2007, Kenney was named a team’s captain and led the team with 27 caused turnovers.  In 2008, Kenney was named Assistant coach at Victor High School, under head coach Mike Myer, before accepting a teaching job in Hornell. Kenney took over the Livonia High School Varsity Girl’s Lacrosse program in 2014. Since being at Livonia Kenney has lead the program to its best record in school history, the programs first shutout, hosted the programs first sectional game, and won the programs first sectional game. She has also sent student athletes on to play at Division I, II, III, schools.  Coach Kenney will be enter her third season with Lax Dreams this summer of 2018
